The Palace of Westminster AKA Parliament...U.K. Trip: Day 4h

We were blessed with blue skies and fluffy clouds as we sauntered around central London on my birthday. Yes, I am still telling the tale of all the things we did on my birthday. I had to  get a few more angles of Parliament before we arrived at our next destination. By the way, did you know that the Parliament Building is officially called the Palace of Westminster? Even though it is the meeting place of the House of Commons and the House of Lords (the two houses of Parliament) its proper name is the Palace of Westminster.

The Palace of Westminster was indeed actually a royal residence back in the cobwebby days of the eleventh century until a fire in the 1500's destroyed most of the complex (except for the little Jewel Tower which we were on our way to visit as I was taking these pictures.)

Yes, the skies were really this blue. I don't do photo-editing because if I did, I would still be working on Day One. And I rather think photo editing is cheating. Unless it is on a picture of me...then I am totally ok with it...
